BSGA 2022-23
IMPORTANT – GYM FINALS DATE!
As many of you will be aware, the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, will take place on the 6th May 2023.
As a result this year’s Schools Gym National Finals has had to be moved and will be held at Fenton Manor on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th May 2023.
Whilst BSGA are fully aware that this date might cause issues for some schools, our National Competition Organiser has spent hours trying to secure a date which does not clash with the main exam season, end of the academic year and other pre-booked events at Fenton, which are booked years in advance.
BSGA did not want to cancel the event, after so many years away due to COVID, so this is our only window of opportunity to host the event.
Please remember that Gymnasts are permitted to move one age group up at Schools Gym National Finals.
U11 F&V, U14 & U19 Acro and ALL tumbling will be on the Wednesday.
U14 & U19 F&V, U11 Acro and Disability Gymnastics will be on the Thursday
Welcome to a new year with the BSGA!
As things get back towards being normal, we are running a full programme of events this year, and hope that you will be able to join us.
The new handbook is available – most of the rules are unchanged.
The diary is filling up with regional events, but we are still struggling to find suitable venues for all of them. We will update you as the situation evolves.
Affiliations for this year are still open, the regional trampoline (and some gymnastics) events have now been held.
Let’s make this a year to remember.
See you all soon!
